Latest attempt at creating space artwork, trying to use digital techniques for what I could never pull off with a brush. Techniques used were Blender for the ground and rocket, GIMP used for everything else. This first one has been post processed for a more vintage style look, and the second one is the original in full color. Designs available as prints, keychains, buttons, stickers, coffee mugs, magnets, and binders.
Latest work using digital painting and 3D, a combination of GIMP and Blender. Blender was used for creating the Ring Space Station, GIMP used for everything else. Original file size 5000 x 5000 pixels so you can get a really good size print!
Well I’m at it again. I came up with this idea while messing around with some models I had already modeled. It’s interesting to see what pops out when you start combining different objects in different configurations. After I came up with the composition it was just a matter of determining the colors to use and layout. I believe I managed to stick to mainly earth tones, and the lighting to provide the right amount of contrast. The whole scene used a spot light for main illumination, a backlight to help with the subsurface scattering on the edges, and a area light to shine soley on the gears to help illuminate them. Hope you like it!
First one is with a grunge background I made in Gimp.
My first attempt at creating and rendering a video animation advertisement. Although there is not any sound and it is too short and the animation moves to fast, I believe it is ok for my first one. I learned lots of Do’s and Do Not’s that I will implement next time.
My latest design, utilizing both 2D and 3D elements, is my take on the old classic Viva La Revolution. Robot hand was modeled, textured, and rendered in Blender. Background and composition was made in GIMP.
